The DISTO™ sketch app supports the new Leica DISTO™ models from Leica Geosystems. With this laser distance meters you can even directly transfer measuring data right into a sketch or photo via Bluetooth 4.0 technology.With the new sketch gallery you have all your sketches at a glance.

The DISTO™ sketch app in many cases, replaces the classical note pad. You can easily draw sketches (e.g. layouts of rooms) and apply measuring results to them. Each line can be named and you can even add comments as needed.
Use the sketching app to take photographs of the object you are measuring. With this functionality, you have an ideal tool to record your daily work.
Create as many sketches as needed and add titles to them, making it easier to apply the measuring results after returning to your office. You can also email sketches directly from the job site to the office for further processing. This increases your productivity, saving you time and money.

Please note: this program only runs properly on Android devices version 4.0.0 or higher with Bluetooth 2.1 Serial Port Profile (SPP). Due to the vast amount of existing Android devices, not all can be tested. Successful results were achieved by using the Motorola Razr, Samsung Galaxy S3, Samsung Galaxy S4 or with the Google Nexus 4 and Nexus 7.
This new version also runs via Bluetooth Smart (Low Energy) which is supported by Android 4.3 on smartphones and tablets with Bluetooth 4.0. Tested devices are Samsung Galaxy S4, Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 together with Leica DISTO™ D510 and D810 touch.

<span style="color:red">DFIU Romeo:</span> getting better, but currently not fully reliable. Not being pressed for time on my last measured survey I've tried to use the app with D810. The first thing I noticed was a conflict between the app pairing process and my phone's OS pairing procedure. When clicking on the phone's message to accept pairing the app's connection got lost. After a couple of attempts somehow it managed to connect and could work with it. Another thing that bothered me is the fact that it doesn't overwrite the phone's screen saving mode. The screen turns off and I have to unlock it and sometimes the connection gets lost. I'm trusted that the app will improve in time but at the moment I wouldn't dare to use it for any complicated full measured survey. To mention that I used it on a Nexus 4, Android 4.4.4<br /><br /><span style="color:red">daniel harai:</span> Seems to need a separate package open cv to use the draw multiple walls tool. NEVER LEICA Again!!! £500 wasted!!!<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Remus Heghedus:</span> soso I am sure Leica watches this so: 1. update the description: D110 / E7100i is also supported 2. fix the auto scale bug: after adding a dimension to a line, the line won't scale relatively; this is REALLY annoying. 3. you also should add a useful export format like DWG/DXF so we can actually use the sketch; right now is purely informative and we must redraw it on the computer 4. you should organize the the files as projects; the pictures should be connected to walls and exported together with the sketch 5. make an easy way to draw openings in walls. 6. pin the selected tool; right now I have to pick up the line tool each and every time I draw a line 7. put a back button from a sub-sketch to master sketch and organize those sketches under a hierarchy. etc etc etc.... more suggestions coming soon as I discover problems. till then, just fix the above, thanks Otherwise, an app with GREAT potential! I would love to see other developers get access to the D510 communication protocols as they have said they are different to the D5 / D8 models which they have working. It would be good to have the lines exported to the PDF separate to the background image so that you can tell which line is which when looking at sheet 2.
